Online
Online public speaking coaching by live video.
Remote sessions for a talk, a presentation, or a meeting you need to practice. Sessions are live video. The time is agreed after the task is discussed.
Online public speaking coaching is live rehearsal on a video call. You speak. You get notes. You speak the section again. For many professionals the camera is the room they will actually present in. For others it is how they practice before they travel to that room. Omruiz does not hold the session in person.
The session is a live video call. It is not a recorded class, and it is not a set of lessons you watch on your own schedule. There is no login, no cohort date, and no library of lessons.
Live coaching is useful when the material is yours and the feedback is about your opening, not a sample speech from a curriculum.
What a video session is for
The session can rehearse a talk from your desk, a presentation you will later give in a room, or the first five minutes of a meeting. Online practice is especially honest about habits the camera reveals: reading, rushing, looking at your own preview, or stacking three points into one breath. It is weaker at rehearsing how you walk a stage. If the performance depends on crossing a platform, say that in the consultation. Coaching can still work the language and the structure. It should not pretend a laptop is a ballroom.
Before the call
Have the outline, the script, or the deck where you can share it. Know the length. Know who the audience is. If you will present slides, be ready to share a window rather than describing the slides from memory. Test your microphone in the video tool you already use. The time of a session is agreed after the inquiry, once the scope is written down. A confirmation does not book that time.
During the call
You deliver a section as if the audience were present. That means you look at the lens when you would look at a person, and you do not narrate the rehearsal unless you are asked to stop. Feedback is spoken and, if you want notes, written in ordinary language after the pass. Then you do the section again. The second pass is the point of meeting live. A comment left on a document the next day cannot replace it, though a short written note can remind you what you decided to keep.
After the call
You leave with a small number of changes, not a manifesto. Rewrite the opening. Cut two slides. Mark the pause after the recommendation. If another session is part of the agreement, bring the revised version rather than a new topic. Recording the session is optional and only with agreement. The consultation form is not a place to upload a recording, and this site does not run a video archive.
What “online” does not mean here
It does not mean every time zone and every week are open. A session happens only after the request has been sent and the scope, the time, and the fee are agreed in writing. A confirmation is not a booked appointment. Read how it works for that distinction.
Video is the format for every Omruiz session. Clients are not received at 1746 E Madison St #5, Phoenix, AZ 85034, USA.
It does not mean speech therapy by telepractice. Pace and clarity for a talk are in scope. Assessment or treatment of a speech, language, or voice disorder is not. It also does not mean treatment for public speaking anxiety. Rehearsal can make the talk more familiar. Clinical care is a different profession.
Communication skills virtual training for meetings can use the same video setup. If the work is a conversation rather than a talk, start from communication skills coaching. Presentation practice by video is described under presentation skills training as well.
How to ask for a remote session
Use the consultation form. Name the talk, the date if you have one, and the time window in plain language. The session will be by video. Do not send passwords, meeting links with embedded tokens, medical history, or payment card numbers. A confirmation means the request was sent. It is not a booking.
If you later agree to a session, expect to join a video meeting at the time you confirmed, with your material open, and to spend the time speaking rather than discussing speaking in the abstract. That is the whole method, online or not.
